Very good notes on Understanding Workflow in Windows SharePoint Services and the 2007 Microsoft Office System have been published by Paul Andrew on his blog

The content covers the value of human workflow, a primer on workflow and SharePoint, a description of workflow in Windows SharePoint Services and then for Office SharePoint Server, and finally a comparison describing how to choose between Windows SharePoint Service and Office SharePoint Server.

All packaging materials are inexpensive. If customer holds any valuable packaging material then he should compensate the seller. Here i have tried to put this workflow in words.

Sales Order by Customer

Delivery of goods with packaging by Seller

If (Billing includes value for packaging material)
// End of this process
If (Customer returns packing items)
Returnable packing pick up
Returns delivery (for packaging material)
Returnable packing issue
Billing for returnable packaging by Seller

What is Consignment?

Goods shipped for future sale or other purpose, title remaining with the shipper / exporter (Consignor), for which the receiver / importer (Consignee), upon his acceptance, is accountable.

Consigned goods are a part of the consignor’s inventory until sold. The consignee may be the eventual purchaser, may act as the agent through whom the sale is affected, or may otherwise dispose of the goods in accordance with his agreement with the consignor.

Consignment Fill-up Process

Consignment Issue Process

  • Credit consignee for returns

Consignment Pick Up (Final Process)
